Purcellville basements - they're either bone dry or fighting water every April. Depends on whether you're up near Woodgrove or down closer to Main Street. We've been finishing basements here since 2005, so we pretty much know which streets have the granite problems and which ones just have bad drainage.
You know what's tricky about Purcellville? Half the houses are 100 years old and the other half were built last Tuesday. Makes for interesting work. The newer Mayfair community? Standard stuff. But get into those older homes off 7 or near the old train station? That's where it gets fun. Stone foundations, weird additions from the '70s, mystery pipes that go nowhere.
Our professional basement remodeling covers whatever Purcellville throws at us. Last year alone we did three music rooms (apparently everyone here plays guitar), a bunch of home offices, and this amazing workshop for a guy who builds custom furniture. Even did a temperature-controlled space for someone's wine collection - turns out Purcellville has some serious collectors.
Figure on 7-10 weeks for most jobs. The permits go through Loudoun County, same as everywhere else, but Purcellville projects always have their own personality. We schedule around Patrick Henry traffic because nobody needs that headache. And we've learned to bring extra plastic sheeting in spring - those surprise rainstorms come out of nowhere up here near the mountains. Small town means everybody knows everybody, so we make sure your lawn looks better when we leave than when we showed up.
