Eric Campbell, Senior Project Consultant
Eric has been with BasementRemodeling.com for over seven years and in the trade for more than fifteen. He's managed over 300 basement finishing projects, holds contractor licenses in Maryland and Virginia, and now spends his days helping homeowners figure out exactly what their basement could be.
He's seen almost everything. And he'll tell you exactly what he thinks.
Construction Was Always in the Family
Eric grew up around construction — it was part of his family before it became his career. He started working summers with his uncle as a teenager, learning the trade the hands-on way. That early foundation gave him both a strong technical grounding and a genuine appreciation for the craft.
He joined BasementRemodeling.com as a Senior Project Manager, where he successfully oversaw more than 300 basement finishing projects across the DMV. That experience — managing real projects, real clients, and real challenges — gave him an unusually deep understanding of what it takes to deliver on a homeowner's vision. He didn't just learn the business from the outside. He ran it from the inside.
Today, as Senior Project Consultant, he channels all of that experience into the front end of the process — helping homeowners make smart, confident decisions before a single wall goes up.
What He Does Every Day
Eric's days are built around people. He starts by staying on top of active projects and new inquiries, then moves into in-home consultations — the part of the job he values most. In those conversations, he walks homeowners through their vision, explores layout options, and helps them think through the overall goals for their space.
From there, he develops customized layout designs and detailed proposals tailored to each client's specific basement and needs. Throughout the day, he's in constant contact with clients and coordinating internally to make sure every project is set up for success from day one.
What his teammates value most is his perspective. When a project hits a challenge or a client needs help making a decision, Eric is the one they turn to — because he's navigated hundreds of situations just like it.
What Homeowners Can Expect
Eric's approach is honest and practical. "My goal is always to guide clients in the right direction based on what makes the most sense for their space and their family." That means no overselling, no shortcuts, and no sugarcoating. If there's something he doesn't know, he says so — and they figure it out together.
He's also flexible and patient with design decisions, making sure homeowners have walked through all of their options before committing to anything. The goal is always for clients to feel confident — not just in the final product, but in every decision that got them there.
What he finds most rewarding is the transformation. Taking a basement that sat underutilized for years and turning it into a space that truly fits how a family lives — "taking an idea and developing it into a finished space that the client can now enjoy and use the way they envisioned" — that never gets old.
Beyond the Job Site
Outside of work, Eric is most at home with his family. He and his wife have four children, and most of his time away from the job is spent with them. He also enjoys watching sports and traveling whenever he gets the chance.
He doesn't have a single go-to motto, but his belief is clear:
> "If you believe in something and are willing to put in the work, you can achieve any goal you set for yourself."
That's the mindset Eric has brought to every project, every client relationship, and every stage of his career — and it shows.
